The Friends of Handforth Station invite you to join us at our Open Meeting, on Tuesday 5^th April, held in Handforth Community Centre, Old Road, Handforth, SK9 3AB.

Everyone is invited to attend, to hear what we do for the station, and to contribute if you want !

Guest Speaker: Dave Carlisle (Outstanding Volunteer Contribution of 2021), who is the Chair of Friends of Buxton Station (The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2021).

All new attendees will be entered into a Prize Draw for a complimentary Northern Trains Rail Pass.

Please arrive after 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start.

The Friends are flying the Ukrainian national flag at the station.

This is to show support for the people and the country of the Ukraine. We believe that families besieged in that terrible war can still receive news and use social media, and that every time they see support for their country in a picture or video it gives them heart and succour.

We fervently wish for peace and an end to suffering in the Ukraine. Many members of FoHS are also individually doing what they can towards alleviating the suffering of those caught up in the war.

To mark the fervent wish of all our members for peace in Ukraine, the Friends of Handforth Station have raised our Flag Of Peace at Handforth Station.

Individually, many members are also contributing to help alleviate the suffering of everyone involved in the war, as well as trying to do what we can towards restoring peace.
