At the Work Party on Saturday 12th May, the three main items of work were:

• litter-picking
• weeding and pruning
• installing the latest set of signs, which mark the recent twinning of Handforth station with Malahide / Mullach Íde station

Stockport is one of the premier destinations that can be reached from Handforth Station – and it’s only 10 minutes by train !

But did you know that Stockport Station used to be called Edgeley Station ?

On Sat 5th May 2018, there’s an all-day celebration of the 175th anniversary of the opening of Stockport (Edgeley) Station. With representatives from many local organisations, and displays of diesel and steam locomotives, it promises to be a great day out.

Just come along to Stockport Station any time between 09:30 and 16:00 on Sat 5th May 2018 to enjoy this event.
