The Friends of Handforth Station invite you to join us at our Open Meeting, on Monday 2 November 2020, starting from 7pm. We’ll be using video-conferencing, so you can join us from the comfort of your own home!
Please join us to hear what we’re doing for the station. We’ll be discussing things like: What is the status of the Access for All project (lifts) ? What will FoHS be doing to complement the works and keep the station attractive ? And, most importantly, how can you get involved ?
Our Guest Speakers this year will be the curators of Dwell Time. They create an award-winning arts publication reflecting on mental wellbeing. Dwell Time are displaying their latest publication in several locations in Handforth.
Note: there will be a Free Rail Ticket available, for one lucky new member who joins us on Monday 2nd.
For details of the Open Meeting (including joining information), email handforthstation@gmail.com or fill in the form on our web-site.
Unfortunately, guidance from Northern Trains (who are in charge of Handforth Station) has severely restricted our ability to run Work Parties. In particular, they have limited numbers to 2 people working together at any time. This means that we have not widely advertised any Work Parties yet. Certain key members of FoHS have, however, managed to continue to maintain the station.
We are proud to be flying a new flag, designed by the Time Out Group. You’ll hopefully have appreciated some new Art Displays and, most recently, you’ll have seen Handforth adorned with large poppies, joining with the rest of the village in commemorating and remembering the fallen in all conflicts.
